Kim Fess – A Passionate Legal Transcriptionist

I stepped into the legal transcription industry twenty years ago in 2000 by starting my career at Brown, Scarfone, Fernihough. Today, I am the owner of a legal transcription business, Videoplus Transcription.

After my initial experience at a law firm, I laid the foundations of an auto-parts and hardware store, which once again led me into the legal industry. After selling off my store, I acquired a position as a court reporter/monitor in the Brantford/Brampton courthouse.

Spending time attending multiple cases every day at the courthouse helped me gain exposure. I got a chance to witness proceedings of all types of cases, from interesting and unique to disturbing and moving. The diversity made me fall in deep admiration for the legal industry. The growing passion brought me to an opportunity of working with MAG, where I stepped into the production of police videos for the Peel Crown's office.

Creating videos and court transcripts was something I enjoyed doing, which assisted me in building a small clientele. In 2014, when the government privatized court transcription, I made up my mind that I wanted to do this full time.

Believing in myself and my abilities, I took the plunge and set out on a journey to establish my company, which led to the creation of Videoplus Transcription Services. My two-decade-long experience serving the legal community finally bore fruit when I picked up on this job as a full-time business.

As the Owner of Videoplus Transcription, I invest my night and day in ensuring client satisfaction. I am an advocate of ‘customer comes first’ due to which I work hard to instill maximum happiness among my clients by continually working to improve the system and the client's interaction with the company.

  1. Hello, I believe your website could possibly be having internet browser compatibility issues.
Whenever I look at your website in Safari, it looks fine however, when opening in IE, it’s got some overlapping issues.

I simply wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Other than that, wonderful site!
